Pioneers of Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment

Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment is one of the major innovations of the last 25 years in the field of psychological assessment. In this DVD set, the Society for Personality Assessment presents individual lectures by three pioneers of Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment: Stephen Finn, Constance Fischer, and Leonard Handler. In these lectures, each expert discusses her/his underlying theory, explains specific collaborative assessment techniques, and provides moving case illustrations. The final DVD contains a roundtable discussion-- moderated by Radhika Krishnamurthy--in which Finn, Fischer, and Handler discuss their commonalities and differences, as well as how they began a fruitful collaboration that has lasted for years. These DVDs will serve as a resource for those already interested in Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment, an introduction to the field for students and others who are just learning about this topic, and a teaching tool for instructors of graduate courses in psychological assessment. Above all, these DVDs radiate the warmth, creativity, and humanity of these three pioneering psychologists, and will inspire viewers to practice psychological assessment at its very highest level.
