Alexa Callahan

Alexa Callahan (she/her) is a fifth-year clinical psychology doctoral student at Loyola University Chicago. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2022. Later that year, she began her doctoral studies in clinical psychology at Sam Houston State University, where she gained forensic assessment experience and first developed a passion for the science of personality assessment. She earned her Master of Arts in 2025, and--with mentor Dr. Jared Ruchensky--moved to Chicago and transferred programs to attend Loyola University Chicago. Research interests include the assessment of personality psychopathology--particularly among sexual and gender minority populations--as well as gendered attitudinal constructs (e.g., hostile masculinity, hostile femininity).
