Professional Bio
Dr. Alexandra Halberstadt is a compassionate and flexible psychologist with a strong background in direct clinical intervention to treat a range of presenting problems, including trauma, grief and loss, and anxiety and depression. She works within a trauma-informed cognitive behavioral orientation, using CBT-consistent techniques from across orientations, including third-wave CBT, self-compassion, and psychodynamic. Her doctoral research at the Pennsylvania State University focused on interpersonal dynamics, and she draws on this knowledge as a clinician by being attuned to issues of autonomy and intimacy in the session and in her clients’ lives.
