Professional Bio
Cristina graduated from Hampshire College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At Hampshire, she studied psychology with a specific concentration in mental health studies and trauma. Throughout her time at Hampshire, she became interested in the relationship between mental health services and marginalized communities. This led her to compose a research study that examined the barriers that prevent Black and African American individuals from seeking support from mental health services. This research and her studies at Hampshire influenced her to pursue a career in psychology. Currently, Cristina is a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. candidate at Duquesne University. At Duquesne her interests still center around the relationship between marginalized communities and mental health services. Currently, Cristina is exploring psychological assessments and the literature surrounding the use of these tools with the BIPOC community.
