Professional Bio
My name is Taylor (she/they), and I am currently an undergraduate Honours psychology student at the University of Manitoba. My research interests focus on forensic psychology, the Not Criminally Responsible defence, and malingering, with particular focus on the equity and cross-cultural considerations within forensic mental health. I aspire to pursue graduate studies in clinical forensic psychology and to continue conducting research on the impact of an examinee's culture and identity on forensic opinions.
As a queer person, I hope to use my lived experience to expand my research to queer people in forensic mental health services and to examine potential barriers to equitable care. I aspire to be the queer representation I wished to see in research, and I encourage others to proudly share their identities.
