Professional Bio
I am a PhD candidate in psychology at University of Oslo, Norway. I study the causes and consequences of personality pathology using community, registry, and twin cohort samples from Norway and USA, with the hope to understand the nature of personality dysfunction, especially under sub-clinical circumstances. I am also interested in the cross-cultural variance and invariance of personality traits and pathologies. Born and raised in Tianjin, China, I spent seven years in the US (obtaining my BA from Reed College, MS from William and Mary, and most recently, a research visit at University of Minnesota), three years working in Beijing as an educational counselor and humanities teacher, before moving to Norway to pursue my PhD in 2023. This is my first time attending SPA and I look forward to meeting and getting inspired by everyone!
