Professional Bio
Nancy Kaser-Boyd, Ph.D., earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Montana, Missoula, completed her internship at L.A. County/USC Hospital in Los Angeles. She completed postdoctoral training in forensic psychology at the USC Institute for Psychiatry and Law. Dr. Kaser-Boyd has practiced forensic psychology, primarily in California, since 1982 and serves on Los Angeles County Superior Court Panels in Criminal, Dependency, and Delinquency Courts. She also consults and testifies on civil cases on topics related to her research. Dr. Kaser-Boyd has been clinical faculty at UCLA since 1982 and is now Clinical Professor (Vol.) of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at Geffen School of Medicine, where she teaches violence risk assessment and advanced psychological assessment. She has received awards including the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Montana, and for Outstanding Contributions to the L.A. County Juvenile Courts Bar Association. Among her publications is her book, authored with Corine deRuiter, Forensic Psychological Assessment in Practice.
