Professional Bio
Natalie is a first-year M.S. student at Villanova University, where she is a graduate assistant in Dr. John Kurtz’s Psychological Assessment Lab. She earned a dual B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Clemson University in 2022. One of her undergraduate research projects assessed pathological traits in a sample of convicted sexual offenders in the context of the Alternative Model of Personality Disorders (AMPD), which she presented at a previous SPA convention. Following graduation, she worked as a research assistant at the VA San Diego Healthcare System and the University of California, San Diego, for substance use and neuroimaging studies. Her interests include test construction and validation, as well as emerging forms of diagnosing personality disorders and psychopathology. After she completes her master’s degree, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.
