Tessa Orellana is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she works within the largest academic medical inpatient psychiatric hospital in the United States. She provides direct clinical services, including individual and group therapy and differential diagnostic evaluations. She supervises a range of learners, such as psychology interns, practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents. Dr. Orellana’s clinical and research center the treatment and assessment of personality disorders. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University. She completed internship training at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Ben Taub Hospital. Dr. Orellana has been a member of SPA since 2017.
