Presenter Information

PRESENTING INFORMATION
How long is my session?
This depends on the type of session that you're presenting. All concurrent sessions are 1.5 hours in length. However, if there are multiple people presenting such as an integrated paper session, you will divide the time by how many presentations are occurring.
Will there be a Q&A?
We encourage presenters to leave a few minutes at the end of their session for questions. If time runs short, sharing contact information so attendees can follow up afterwards have proven helpful.
Is the session going to be provided virtually?
This depends on the option you selected. Presenters were recently emailed to choose between the following formats"
- Live ONLY
- In-Person & Virtual (Available only through June 2026)
- In-Person & Virtual (Available Indefinitely)

Can I use my own laptop?
Absolutely! We encourage that you bring any necessary adapters to connect to the projector. We have some options but it is better to bring your own.
Will there be Wi-Fi available?
Yes, the hotel has Wi-Fi available. However, we cannot guarantee speed or quality of the connection.
Who do I contact if I have technical issues onsite?
We typically have a business card on the podium with a contact number. However, you are welcome to visit the registration desk to ask for assistance.

Yes, click here to download the template.
Can I test my slides in advance?
Of course! There is a 15-minute transition between concurrent sessions. You have the option to test at this time OR you can test during lunch time.
What CE requirements do I need to meet as a presenter?
If your session is approved for continuing education credits, please ensure the following materials have been submitted by March 23.

Can I distribute supplemental materials to attendees?
Yes, you can either upload them to your speaker portal, send directly to the SPA team at info@personality.org, or print and distribute on-site.
Do I need to register if I am presenting?
Yes, you do need to register. We encourage early registration to take advantage of discounted pricing. Click here if you still need to register.
Can I make changes to my session title or abstract?
If March 9 has already passed, the original title and abstract will appear in the printed program book. Updated information submitted by March 23 will be reflected in the convention app.
DISCUSSANT INFORMATION
I am a discussant for the first time this year. What am I responsible for?
Reach out to your group to introduce yourself. In addition to making sure the session flows properly, you will need to ensure everyone stays on track since each paper should have the same amount of time to present. You will also have the opportunity to offer overarching comments around the broad topic of papers being presented if interested.
I am presenting an integrated paper session but do not know who my discussant is. How do I find this information.
Your discussant should have emailed you, but, in the case you did not receive an e-mail, you can check the list below.

POSTER INFORMATION
What size should my poster be?
Poster presentations will be set up like previous years. There will be two posters displayed on each side of the board. We suggest that your printed poster size not exceed 4' x 3.5', please see example in diagram below. Note, image is not to scale.

When can I set up?
You can set up your poster anytime after 3pm ET on Saturday, March 28. Pins are provided to be used on-site.
I am not staying in the hotel. Can you store my poster?
Yes, but please keep in mind that the team at the registration desk is not responsible if the poster is misplaced/stolen/or damaged.
Can I leave my poster pinned overnight?
Any posters left on the boards after 7:30pm ET on Saturday, March 28 will be discarded.
