SPA E-Learning Center | 2025 SPA Convention
Abstract
In this Roundtable Discussion, Drs. Ori Elis and Krista Brittain will share new developments in the neurodiversity movement and connect these developments to better understanding the cultural model of disability as it applies to neurodivergence, especially autism and ADHD. Presenters will review the core values of TA and apply these to working with neurodivergent clients in the context of personality assessment. Presenters will address the importance utilizing neurodivergent affirming practices as a component of competence in working with diverse/neurodiverse populations and support participants to consider shifts in current practices to increase utilization of and access to neurodivergent-affirming care.
